Danville, Illinois, might not come to mind as a place for parties, events, or special celebrations—and let me assure you, it isn’t. I grew up moving back and forth between Danville and the greater Seattle area throughout my youth. After completing my education, I built a career in the medical field, when I permanently moved back to Seattle in 2013, I was working for a well-known cosmetic surgery company and felt relatively content with my life. That’s until one night, a mutual friend invited me out and I ended up in some guy’s garage questioning my life decisions and wondering where I had taken a wrong turn. I thought this guy was crazy, but I couldn’t help resonationg with his desire to bring people together and make amazingly unique and special experiences for them. Austin and myself truly built Sleepless out of that garage, and along the way we have been honored to interact and build with so many other amazing people passionate about crafting authentic, engaging, and inclusive events. In the end, that is what sleepless is all about, transcending barriers and bringing people from all walks of life together.
